Privacy and data protection policy
How Knergy processes personal data under GDPR and LFPDPPP.
1. Data controller and registered address
The controller of the personal data collected through this site is Knergy Ingeniería México, S.A. de C.V. (trading as "Knergy"), with a registered address in Cd. Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, México. To exercise your rights or make privacy inquiries you may write to contacto@knergy.com.
2. Data we collect
- Contact and quote form (/contacto): name, company, role, corporate email, phone, country, industry, interest, plant capacity, desired timeline and the message you write.
- Kiln Readiness Scorecard (/herramientas/kiln-readiness): name, job title, country, phone (mandatory), corporate email verified with a one-time code (OTP), your answers to the diagnostic questionnaire and, only if you explicitly check it, your opt-in to receive marketing content.
- High Value protected content portal (/high-value): when you request to unlock a document — name, email, company, role and phone; while the document stays open, how far you have read into it.
- Every visit to /high-value, even before you accept or reject any cookie: IP address, city, region and approximate geolocation coordinates, the browser's user-agent header and the referring URL (referrer). These come from the standard headers every browser sends with any HTTP request; we use them to measure campaign reach and detect automated or fraudulent access.
- When we receive a /contacto or /high-value form, we automatically check the domain of your email and the company name you typed against a list of known direct competitors, to decide whether access is granted, flagged for sales review, or denied.
- Newsletter subscription: email address, confirmed through double opt-in.
- Cookies and technical browser storage: described in our cookie policy.
3. Purposes and legal basis
- Handle quote requests and prepare techno-economic proposals, on the basis of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject.
- Assess operational readiness through the Kiln Readiness Scorecard and send you the result, on the basis of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject.
- Manage accredited access to the confidential investor data room, on the basis of consent and a confidentiality agreement.
- Manage access to the High Value protected content and assess the commercial interest of the contact (lead scoring), on the basis of consent and our legitimate interest in prioritizing sales follow-up.
- Record the approximate geolocation, user-agent and referrer of every visit to lead-capture pages, and check the declared domain and company against a list of competitors, on the basis of our legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent use of the site and protecting sensitive commercial information from direct competitors.
- Send the monthly newsletter, on the basis of double opt-in consent, revocable at any time.
- Send you Knergy marketing content when you explicitly authorize it in the Kiln Readiness Scorecard, on the basis of consent, revocable at any time.
4. Retention
Data is retained for the time necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and, subsequently, for the applicable legal limitation periods.
5. Recipients and processors
Data may be processed through infrastructure, hosting and database providers (Vercel, Supabase), web analytics providers when you have given consent (Vercel Analytics), and CRM and email service providers, all acting as data processors under contract and with appropriate safeguards. No transfers are made to third parties except where legally required.
6. International data transfers
Knergy operates from México. Our infrastructure providers (hosting, database and analytics) may process and store data in data centers located outside México, including the European Union and the United States. Where an international transfer of personal data occurs, it is carried out under standard contractual clauses, adequacy decisions or other equivalent safeguards recognized by GDPR and, where applicable, LFPDPPP.
7. Data subject rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, objection, restriction and portability (ARCO rights and GDPR rights), as well as withdraw consent, by writing to contacto@knergy.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses cookies and technical storage necessary for it to function and, only with your consent, web analytics measurement. The details of each cookie, its purpose, duration and how to reject it are described in our cookie policy.
