PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk, majority-owned by PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, joined the World Cement Association as a corporate member in August 2026, according to CemNet / ICR Newsroom.

The Knergy angle
The 1.5Mt/yr waste target makes combustion control the industrial bottleneck. In an integrated kiln, higher AFR does not automatically cut coal if the incoming stream varies in moisture, particle size or chlorine; the operator must hold temperature, available oxygen, flame shape and clinker quality. H₂/O₂ co-injection into the pyroprocess is relevant at that boundary: H₂ accelerates local combustion kinetics and O₂ supports the reaction without relying only on secondary or tertiary air. That mechanism can help burn difficult AFR fractions and stabilise the calciner or main burner, but CemNet does not report an H₂/O₂ installation at Solusi Bangun or measured thermal-consumption results. The engineering question for a comparable plant is answered in trials: how much additional AFR the kiln accepts before flame stability, CO or clinker reactivity deteriorates.
WCA receives an Indonesian case with public targets
CemNet quoted WCA CEO Philippe Richart saying Solusi Bangun would bring experience in sustainable cement production to global membership. It also quoted Solusi Bangun Indonesia President Director Rizki Kresno Edhie Hambali on international collaboration in decarbonisation and sustainable construction.
The published fact is limited to membership, capacity and targets. Solusi Bangun has not announced a date, budget or contractor for an industrial H₂/O₂ installation in its kilns.
